oh...
i hope i've not just wasted a whole day, just found this website:

you enter your e-mail address and then you're forwarded to their youtube account.
also came across http://cuke.me, you get the site from the game on the main menu on the dvd (you need to wait a minute for it to come up), which again re-directs you to the reynholm industries blocked message. from the game you get a website password "txgwqumq2v0" which when you put into the url http://txgwqumq2v0.cuke.me/ gives you a site that says "coming soon" with a header saying "the cake is a lie". WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?! tried it out on the friend face website and it does the same thing. actually i've just tried that again, you can type in anything before the cuke.me/ bit and it will come up with the same message... strange...
will let you know as soon as i know!

Hurting cabbage, raisins and oatmeal?
I've spent about half an hour trying to decode the geek subtitles... I'm actually only about 7 mins into the first episode... and there's 160 words been decoded? I can't actually say they've been decoded, all I've done is written them down...
Anyway, if you go onto either http://friendface.co.uk/ or http://www.reynholmindustries.co.uk/ you get a page that has some text. It's written in English and some bizzare language. HOWEVER!!! some of the English part is smudged and is un-readable. So to decode you piece together letters from the English language with the bizzare language. The text reads:
"Dear valued employee,
This website is not accessivle from the Reynholm Industries network.
The internet offers us a great oppertunity to communicate, share knowledge and do good.
Unfortunately, the website with which you are trying to communicate, share knowledge or do good has content that might (smudged writing) fellow employees at Reynholm Industries.
If you think that this website has been blocked in error and should be available to communicate, share knowledge and do good with, please contact the DVD supplied with your employee orientation handbook.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation in this matter."
Ok so I've worked out what the smudged writing is, it reads "hurt raisins, cabbage and oatmeal sentiments of our" so now that part reads:
"Unfortunately, the website with which you are trying to communicate, share knowledge or do good has content that might hurt raisins, cabbage and oatmeal sentiments of our fellow employees at Reynholm Industries."
That to me doesn't really make much sense... there must be some kind of underlying message there. Anyway, another quick note, what is the employee orientation handbook? A little confused on that one too!

The Beginning!
Hey, my name's Andrew Cook, I'm 19 and I'm from Scotland. I've just bought IT Crowd series 3, and just found out that series 2 had a secret competition in the "Geek" subtitles! So, I've decided to try and crack this year's subtitles, and create this blog so I can help others too. There's something you should know - I don't do much in the way of programming, so there could be an answer right infront of me and i'll be totally clueless. I've had a few ideas already, for example collect all the letters that have replaced others, collect all the letter's that have been replaced, collect the words with the inserted letters..... the list goes on!
